There is quite a lot happening over at Calistyle and Prizefast this past week!!  In case you missed it, Leslie, The Freebie Guy made a big announcement last week that he was leaving the freebie trading industry to focus his attention on his Biology Blog and science interests.  This is a big announcement!!  Considering how much Leslie and Chris Deals have done for freebie trading!!   Leslie needs more time to focus on his passion for science and so he needs to give something up.  He will be very missed!!  I am sure this was a difficult decision for him to make.  He still will write at his blog The Freebie Guy, but more about making money online then about freebie trading.

So you might be wondering, what will happen to Calistyle?  Well, the good news is he got a fantastic buyer for Calistyle!  It’s Mike from MoneyBonanzas which is a Freebie Trading site that has been around for awhile.  From what I have gathered, Mike is planning on doing some good things with Calistyle while keeping the good stuff Chris and Leslie have created already!!

As a side note, MoneyBonanzas has a Freebie Trading store option they offer which is really neat!!  You should definitely check it out, it’s free to sign up for one!

I think that Calistyle will continue in it’s great tradition with Mike leading the way!  I’ll keep you posted.  I wish the best of luck to Leslie and Chris!!

When I first started Freebie Trading, I was interested in it because it was a way to Make Quick Cash.  What I found in addition was a great community of wonderful people from all different places and backgrounds.  I have felt lucky to connect with many of the great people I work with as a Freebie Trader.

I am really excited to share the first part of a two part Podcast highlighting The Calistyle 101 Forum.  This is the 5th Freebie Trading Podcast and Chris Deals and I discuss Calistyle and the changes that have been made there.  These changes are a huge asset to the Freebie Traders that work there and the Freebie Trading industry.  I plan to create a text version of this as well.

Affiliate: The person/company that sets up the ads between the Offer Company and the IFW site. When you click on an offer it is redirected through the affiliate company and they give credit for completing the offers and pay the IFW for each credited lead.

Avatar: A user’s representation of him/herself on a forum and other communities using an icon/picture.

BUMP: BUMP stands for Bring Up My Post. When posting on a forum, you bring up a thread when you post on it.  The thread then becomes more visible because it is at the top of the list.  You are allowed to BUMP your trade thread three times per day on many forums, but the rules vary so it is important to be aware of each forums rules.  Traders utilize this to make their cash for referral stand out.

CC: Credit Card. Most offers require you to use a credit card. There are some sites that are no-cc sites. However, these do not count towards your iTrader Rating at most Forums and are very difficult to complete.

Cookies: Files of text sent by a server to a web browser and then sent back unchanged by the browser each time it accesses that server. It is the way the offer sites and IFWs keep track and credit your offers. They need to be transferred in order for you to get credited.

DIY: A “Do it yourself” site. These sites do not require you to refer anyone. You get incentives for just signing up and completing offers on your own. It isn’t as lucrative as referral based sites, but it is a way of making some extra cash.

Forever Green/Repeatable: A Freebie/IFW site is forever green/repeatable that allows you to use it over and over with referrals once you are green on it.  You no longer will have to complete offers on that site and can cash out over and over.

Gone Red/On Hold: When a referral has gone red, that individual has violated one or more of the IFW’s Terms of Service, and his/her account has been put on hold until the issue is resolved. When this happens, the referrer reserves the right to a refund. Many times the issue can be resolved by providing proof of identity.

Green: When your referral has gone green, this means that they have signed up at a freebie site and completed the offer requirements of that particular site.

IM: Instant Messaging (IM) is a form of real-time communication between two or more people based on typed text. The text is conveyed via computers connected over a network such as the Internet.

ISP: An Internet service provider (also called Internet access provider or IAP) is a company or business that provides access to the Internet and related services.

MCR: Manual Credit Request. If you complete an offer and didn’t receive credit, you can sometimes fill out a Manual Credit Request to the IFW and they will investigate it further. The rules on MCR vary from site to site.

PM: Private message. When communicating with users via a forum (e.g. Calistyle), you use an internal email type, messaging system. When you send a message, this is referred to as sending a PM.

Prize: An incentive that freebie sites offer you in exchange for meeting the offer requirements and referring individuals to complete offers. You can win a laptop, ipod, computer, tv’s and cash via paypal for example.

Referral Link: A link that is assigned to a an individual that has their unique user ID so that they can send others as their referral.

TOS: Terms of Service.

TR: iTrader Rating (TR) shows the number of trades an individual has completed with other individuals at a certain forum (i.e. Calistyle 101, Anything4Free, Free Lunch Room).

Twitter is a great social networking platform.  It can be utilized to network with others, learn information, communicate with your friends, and advertise your blog/service/website.  I just wrote a more in depth post on Twitter on The Freebie Guy.  The Freebie Guy.net is a great blog with information on Freebie Trading and other ways to make money online.  So be sure to go check it out!

Interview With Michelle Trent on Freebie Trading

What is Freebie Trading:

• Great way to make money online
• Fun and easy way to earn money checking out trial offers
• You will get paid to check out trial offers that are free or cost very little
• You will get paid while you learn the Freebie Trading Business

Have you ever seen those ads for a free iphone or computer? Those ads are from Incentivized Freebie Websites. They have advertisers who pay them for bringing customers to them.   There are many IFW -Freebie Sites that pay via paypal or prizes and are easy to complete to earn the prize (or money).  IFW sites pay people-Traders to bring referrals to their sites and have them complete an offer or two (like a trial for blockbuster for example).  You get paid by these Traders.

When you get started you will be sent to a site to check out some trial offers.  After checking out one or two offers and completing them you will be paid for the site.  Usually about $20 depending on the site.   It takes about 30-45 minutes.

Once you complete about 10 sites you will be ready to move on to Method 2 of Freebie Trading.

So at this point you are probably wondering how do people find these sites.   Well their are some great forums out there where people come to start out in this business. On these forums there are mentors (like me) who will teach those people about the business and how to be successful in it. The forums I trade on are the Net Income Solutions Forum,  Anything 4 Free Forum and the Free Lunch Room.  My user name there is onnaholl. If you join-look me up!! It’s great and you can learn a lot on the forums and from a mentor.

You might like to see some proof about this business-here are Proof of my Earnings from the month of January.

Steps to get started:

• Go to one of the forums:  Net Income Solutions, Free Lunch Room or Anything 4 Free Forum sign up and read around the Forums.
• Make sure to read the Rules
• On Net Income Solutions once you sign up I will be able to contact you shortly after to get you started, I will be assigned as your mentor if you sign up through my link here.  This is one of the reasons I prefer NIS forum now.  I like the way it is set up the best at this point.
• On  Free Lunch Room go to the Paying for Referrals Section and pick someone to get started (you can also click on my thread if you would like to start with me) Private Message or Reply to the thread of the person you want to get started with.
• On  Anything 4 Free Forum go to the Beginners Trading Forum and pick a Trader (you can click on my thread if you would like to start with me) Private Message or Reply to the Thread of the person you want to get started with.
• You will get an email with the link to the site you will start with (like Cash ZipNadaZilch-take a look to see what a site looks like on NIS the only sites that can be used there are Zbest Freebies take a look at Paypal Zbest)
• You will get steps on how to set up your browser correctly
• You will then go pick a couple of Trial Offers to Complete
• Once Completed you let the Trader know
• Give them your Paypal email
• Get Paid!!

Some of you might have heard of Twitter and are wondering what it is about.  I have seen a few posts on the various Freebie Trading Forums asking about it.  So I thought I would address it here so that those Traders in method 2 can learn about it and how they can use it for Freebie Trading.

Twitter is a micro-blogging, social networking service.  It allows you to update your status and send a message to all your followers at once.  Your status is where you can put in any message under 140 characters.  People who are interested in hearing your “Tweets” can sign up to “follow you”.  Then when you update your status or “tweet” they will see your message on their twitter board.  There are also numerous clients for Twitter as well as the original online service.  You can “Follow” others that discuss things you are interested in.  I have actually heard news on Twitter before it comes out on tv!!

How can you use this for Freebie Trading and Making Money Quick?  If you are in Method 2 and trying to get referrals via a blog or website, Twitter is a great way to help get traffic to your site.  If you develop a following of people there is a  good chance they might go check out that blog post you just tweeted about.  You also get your links out there more by tweeting them.  You don’t have to just tweet about freebie trading you can tweet about life, weather, interests etc.  It’s actually really fun!
